I'm back and still recovering from a trip to California for the Thanksgiving holiday. December has descended like an avalanche, and I have a ton of stuff to do and clean and bake. There is a bit of writing news, though.

I'm glad I finished up Normal when I did because the last two days haven't exactly been productive. Hooray for feedback! The steampunk/fantasy short story doesn't completely suck! It has a few issues, but they should be easily correctable. The twist at the ending was too much of a twist. I'm still reading Writer Mama, which is an excellent book on freelancing - and not just for mothers.  I've been taking notes of ideas as I read through.  I'm wanting to start slow and build my confidence.  I wouldn't mind taking one of Christina Katz's writing courses, but $175 is a sizable chunk of money when we are starting to make new car ( Read more... )
